Frequently Asked Questions

Here I have responded to all the most important and Frequently Asked Questions I received from people like you. If you have any questions yourself, feel free to write me a question on my contact page.

Yes, stress can be a partial cause of flare-ups, most likely because of scratching, but it also could be an immune reaction.

Eczema flare ups is worsening of the already existing condition. This can be caused by many things, from environmental triggers like Dry air, cold weather, humidity, and rapid temperature changes to harsh soaps. Pollen, stress, sweat, etc.

Yes, they are often very connected. While having eczema doesn’t guarantee that you have other allergies, it is often times the case. I had both all my life until discovering the ultimate elimination diet, and my eczema always got worse when my allergies got worse.

Yes, 100% adults can develop eczema at any age. I had eczema since I was a child, but things kept getting worse and worse every year of my life. This is because my gut was becoming unhealthier and unhealthier, and inflammation was leaking to my skin more and more. Leaky gut can happen at any age, and it may happen more often later on in life because you have access to drugs and alcohol you didn’t have as a child.

Eczema typically appears as red, weepy, intensely itchy, while psoriasis is often thick, scaly plaques that are less itchy. Eczema is linked to allergies and immune dysfunction, whereas psoriasis is an autoimmune condition. If you don’t know already, then you should go to a dermatologist who can properly diagnose which one you have.

You should definitely keep your skin moisturized, but not with any of the conventional lab-made creams, but instead with beef tallow, coconut oil, and shea butter. These natural moisturizers have been used by our ancestors for hundreds of generations, and our genes are adapted to them, unlike these chemical alternatives.

That is a connection between your gut and skin through your immune system. When your gut is inflamed or leaky, undigested food particles enter your bloodstream. This triggers immune responses, which create eczema. In most cases, healing your gut is the solution to healing your skin.

IgE allergy tests are very good at identifying allergies, but often miss food sensitivities and triggers. Just because you are not allergic to something to the point of having a difficult time breathing when you come in contact with a certain food doesn’t mean you should eat it.

I healed my eczema by doing the lion diet, supplementing with vitamin D3, investing in a home air purifier, and replacing my old creams with beef tallow.

Getting Started

I used to suffer from a very severe case of eczema. Once, it got so bad that I was in a hospital for a month because of a skin infection that I got. Besides eczema, I suffered from a dozen other health problems that went away with The Ultimate Eczema Protocol. Read my full story here.

Yes, if you successfully heal your leaky gut and live in a healthy environment, your eczema can be permanently gone. It may only come back if you do the negative habits that brought you there in the first place, but that is unlikely if you healed it properly. Keep in mind that everyone is different, and some people need more time and a stricter diet to heal.

That is actually the only way you can really heal. Medications like steroid creams and immunosuppressants just cover up the problem and put it deeper in your body until it comes back worse than before. The real way to heal eczema is doing an elimination diet like the lion diet or carnivore diet, healing your gut, fasting, supplementation, cleaning your environment, decreasing stress, etc.

For most people, leaky gut is the main driver of eczema. When your gut is damaged, allergens and toxins leak into your bloodstream, causing inflammation to surface on your skin. Fixing leaky gut through diet and supplements was crucial in my healing.

Leaky gut is mainly caused by years of alcohol, processed foods, medication, and antibiotic abuse. Other factors are stress, smoking, and poor sleep.

Conventional Medicine

The difference is in how we try to address these problems. Conventional Western medicine just covers up the problem with expensive and sometimes damaging creams, corticosteroids, and more extreme treatments like Dupixent. Conventional Western medicine refuses to acknowledge that there is a fixable root cause of eczema in your body and instead puts the blame on something that nobody can control, which is your genetics. I address the issue by promoting elimination diets, gut health, fasting, cleaning your environment of toxins, supplementation, etc. This way, I did what no doctor ever could, which is actually helping people heal.

Because I had eczema for around 15 years of my life, I have seen and used absolutely everything there is from a conventional approach. From regular creams to High-Potency Topical Corticosteroids, antibiotics, phototherapy, Dupixent, Immunosuppressant medications, etc. I regret all of it; I wish I could go back in time and tell myself to never use any of that and instead do what I do now. Even if you see some relief from eczema when you use these methods, know that eczema will always come back, often times even worse. This happens because the root issues are not healed; instead, they get even worse.

Most doctors don’t have experience in nutrition, and instead they focus on covering up the symptoms through medications. They will tell you that these diets don’t have any studies done on them, but they will not tell you that studies need funding, and nobody is going to fund a study that will not make money. There are hundreds of billions of dollars in the Pharmaceutical industry; these companies fund only studies that can potentially make them money, and they don’t want you to heal through things they can’t profit from, like diet and fasting.

Corticosteroids are drugs, and as with all other drugs, there are side effects when stopping them, especially if you do it cold turkey. I used corticosteroids all the time in many forms for years, and my body got addicted to them pretty badly. I quit them cold turkey, and that had terrible effects, so bad I couldn’t leave the house for months. I am glad I did quit them cold turkey because after only a few weeks on the lion diet I was better than I ever was since the age of 12.

Bad is a huge understatement; they completely destroy your body, especially for kids or people going through puberty, like I was when I used them the most. They close growth plates too early, making you shorter than you should have been; they weaken joints, muscles, and bones. They can influence sudden mood changes and many other negative effects. The worst part is topical steroid withdrawal when you stop using them, which is the most painful thing I ever experienced both physically and mentally.

Ultimate Eczema Protocol

The Ultimate Eczema Protocol is a protocol that I used to heal eczema in myself and dozens more with elimination diets, lifestyle changes, supplementation, fasting, etc. I experimented and researched for years to create this protocol as in-depth as it is.

In this protocol/course, you will get all the information you need in several courses to heal from eczema, allergies, psoriasis, rosacea, and similar health problems, as well as improve your overall health. Besides this, you will be a part of a thriving community of people who suffer from eczema or who used to suffer from eczema, and have 24/7 access to me, where you can ask me any question you want.

As soon as I started healing from eczema, allergies, asthma, depression, and other health problems by following my research, I knew I wanted to share this information with as many people as I possibly can. Firstly, I helped my friend who was going through a similar thing as I did, and then I started a blog, YouTube channel, Pinterest account, etc. Now The Ultimate Eczema Protocol is a thriving community of people who are just like you and me, helping each other heal.

Diet

The Lion Diet is the ultimate elimination diet where you can only eat ruminant meat, which is beef, lamb, bison, etc. You should definitely do this diet first if you have a severe form of eczema, allergies, asthma, or any severe skin condition besides eczema. After some time on this diet, your body will be less sensitive, and you will start to tolerate other foods better. After some time, you might notice that you lost a lot of food sensitivities. For me, I couldn’t tolerate milk before the lion diet, but I could after I healed my gut.

What you need to know is that everybody is different. We all have different backgrounds, genetics, and severity of our illnesses. For me, it took around 4 weeks to see the first results, which were less pain and less redness. Keep in mind that I had a very severe case of atopic dermatitis, and I was in TSW when I started experimenting with the lion diet, so you will probably see results faster.

Everybody is different, so this can vary from person to person, but some foods are inflammatory to everybody, and these are seed oils, gluten, and all processed and highly processed foods. Also, a lot of people don’t understand how inflammatory and unhealthy vegetables can be to somebody who already has a leaky gut because of their defense chemicals and anti-nutrients. Some healthy foods that can trigger eczema are eggs and dairy, but this has nothing to do with the foods themselves and everything to do with your broken gut that cannot digest them. Most people can eat eggs and dairy again after some time on the lion diet.

I don’t recommend gluten to anybody, no matter if they have eczema or not. Gluten is inflammatory to everybody, at least to some degree. Gluten is especially bad for people who already have leaky gut and problems like eczema. Getting rid of gluten is a must in the healing process, and everyone should do it no matter the severity of eczema.

Food allergies cause an immediate reaction, which sometimes can be pretty severe, even life-threatening at times. While intolerances cause delayed symptoms like eczema, bloating, or fatigue hours or days later. The best way to see if you tolerate a particular food is to go on a lion diet, which is a diet of only meat from ruminant animals. After you heal, you can put back certain foods, like eggs, for example, and then after a few days, if your condition hasn’t worsened, you can continue eating them and experimenting with other foods.

Diet is the main or one of the main reasons why you have eczema, but it is also the main reason why you are able to heal from eczema as well. Contrary to what a corrupted system tells you, what you eat 3 times a day for the rest of your life matters a lot. Leaky gut happens because people have abandoned their evolutionary diets and eat highly processed foods that profit nobody but the companies making them.

Healthy people should be able to eat a range of foods, but because of processed foods, antibiotics, medicine, and alcohol abuse, some people develop leaky gut and sensitivities, which prevent them from eating these foods. When your gut is damaged, your body reacts negatively to healthy foods like fruit or eggs. This is the reason why people with severe eczema should eat only ruminant meat until their gut heals.

Diets are very important, but keep in mind they are not the only thing in the process; there are many other things like fasting and supplementation. Diets that I recommend are the Lion diet, Carnivore, KETO, an animal-based diet, and an animal-based diet with vegetables. I believe that it is best that everyone starts with either the lion or the carnivore diet for some time until their leaky gut heals and then experiments further.

The carnivore diet is a diet consisting only of animals and foods that come from animals. So, meat, seafood, dairy, and eggs. There are multiple versions of the carnivore diet; for example, ketovore, where you don’t consume dairy because you want to have the positive effects of the no-sugar diet. Also, some people include coffee, tea, and certain spices because they have minimal effects on the diet.

The keto diet is a very low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet that puts your body into a state of ketosis. When that happens, your body uses its own fat for energy instead of glucose. This is the reason why keto is so popular for weight loss, but it is also great for gut healing and for health in general, which will heal your eczema.

Supplementation

Vitamin D3 is the most important vitamin for people with eczema. Vitamin D3 acts as a natural antibiotic without side effects; it is also very anti-inflammatory. Big doses of vitamin D3 saved my life when I had terrible infections on my skin. D3 also helps immune function and skin health, and is extremely helpful for allergies as well. Buying a high-quality vitamin D3 supplement is very important because there is almost no vitamin D3 in foods, and most people with eczema can’t get enough sun.

Yes, probiotics help with restoring the gut balance and reducing inflammation. They are particularly helpful to people like me who have a long history of antibiotic use.

Yes, Omega-3s are naturally highly anti-inflammatory, and they support skin barrier function. They are always in my top three supplement picks.

In my opinion, the most important vitamins for eczema are Vitamin D3, Vitamin E, Vitamin K2, Vitamin A, and Vitamin C.

Besides Vitamin D3, the best supplement for eczema is an animal organ supplement, preferably a beef organ supplement. Organs are very important and nutrient-dense, but they are often times hard to find and make, which makes a beef organ supplement amazing.

Allergy

Yes, they are often very connected. While having eczema doesn’t guarantee that you have other allergies, it is often times the case. I had both all my life until healing with The Ultimate Eczema Protocol, and my eczema always got worse when my allergies got worse.
