My Story: From Severe Eczema To Being Eczema Free
My name is Franko Perisa, and this is my story.
Since I was born, I struggled with eczema (atopic dermatitis), environmental allergies, food sensitivities, and food allergies. After years of suffering, depression, humiliation, and anxiety from all of this, I am healthy now, and I am completely healed from all of this through the Ultimate Eczema Protocol.
Even thouth this story is mostly about eczema here is the list of things that I sufered from in my life.

EARLY CHILDHOOD
When I was a kid these problems were manageable and they didn’t affect me much, at least I don’t remember them giving me that many problems because I had epilepsy which was even a bigger problem at the time for me.
This period lasted until I was around 10 when things started to take a turn and my eczema and allergies started to get worse. I still lived a pretty normal life and did things like exercise and going to school which I couldn’t later in life. When I was 10 was the first time that I remember being bullied and humiliated for my skin problems. That was when kids from school named my skin condition under my first name.
Soon after I accidently ate a peanut which made my eczema explode and gave me troubles breathing. I was rushed to the hospital where I received the regular therapy that ruined my life of corticosteroids and antibiotics for the first time. Next 4 years were pretty similar and unnotable, but after that the real horrors of my life started to take place.
My eczema started to become worse and worse and I had to visit my doctor much more often, this was around the time when my epilepsy healed which is great because if it didn’t genualy don’t think I would have the strength to keep going through all of this.

START OF SEVERE ECZEMA
At boxing practices I started to realize that my muscles were getting weaker and I couldn’t lose weight for my fights even though I used to fast and eat barely nothing for over a week before the fight. Litle did I know that those were just some of the terrible side effects of corticosteroids.
When I was 15 I had to stop compiting in boxing because my eczema got so bad that it hurt more than when I was getting punched. This is the first time when I got actually depressed because this was the only thing I liked to do in my life and it was a part of my personality and who I thought I am.
Also I was getting made fun of a lot in school for my condition and made call all kinds of names related to my condition. This made me even more anxious than I was already and I stopped wanting to talk to people because I thought that is my life know I need to get used to it.
I tried to cope with junk food, alchocol, pain killers etc. But at the end of the day after a short dopamine spike my pain came back stronger both the pain on my skin and in my mind.
At this period when I turned 16 doctor visits were even more common and everytime they just gave me stronger and stronger corticosteroids and antibiotics when my skin got infected.
I used them all the time and I mean all the time, which I wouldn’t If my doctors explained the side effects properly. And I blame myself for not researching them sooner, but you have to understand that I was just a kid and a kid doesn’t go to the doctor thinking that they are going to poisen him.
Around that time my sleep got so bad because of itching and inability to breath properly that on the average night I didn’t get more than 3 hourse of sleep. This made my eczema and whole life even worse because of stress, severe mood swings, anxiety, depression, weight gain, memory loss, lack of focus, lowered ability to fight infections etc.
FIRST HOSPITALIZATION
The summer of that year I found my first job, I worked as a warehouse worker and I was very excited to start making my own money and spend more time with my friend that I couldn’t see very often.
The allergens like dust were so bad that my eczema and allergies exploded the first day even when using corticosteroids, to make things worse my brother was smoking a lot next to me which is in my opinion the worst eczema trigger and I was eating only processed food slop like candy, chicken nuggets and soda.
After a week I send a massage to my boss and talled her that I have to quit before my eczema got even worse and I got violently sick. After a couple days like that just hoping that it will go away somehow. I went to the hospital.
My condition was so bad that I should have called the ambulance but I didn’t want to because for some reason I thouth that I would get in trouble if they thouth that it was not that bad.
The ride to a hospital where I was registered was pretty long and it took me around one hour to get there considering all the walking and bus stops. And I will tell you right now that the journey there was one of the most painfull and humiliating things I ever experienced both physically and emotionally in my life.
First of all I was pretty sick and considering the boiling 35 °C (95 °F) weather my skin felt like it was burning alive. I almost fainted multiple times going to the hospital, and everyone was looking at me with a judgmental face almost like they are ofended that I was there.
But also at that point I was so extremlly sick and sleep deprived that maybe I partially imagined it. When I got to the hospital the doctors looked terified and before giving me any help they tested me for all kinds of drugs before giving me corticosteroids and antibiotics because I looked so sick and disoriented that they thouth I was under the influance of something.
I spent 4 nights in hospital where they gave me a huge amounts of corticosteroids orally, throught the vain, through skin creams etc.
Corticosteroids and antibiotics helped a lot and of course all of my eczema came beck less than 10 days later and not only that but I could barely walk for 5 minutes before complelty geting out of breath and needing to sit down. This is what corticosteroids do to you they may shut down your eczema, but they shut down your immune system aswell which makes it easier to get sick and get a skin infection.
DUPIXENT
The following year was very simillar, just a full year of suffering, anxiety and depresion, trying to do anything just to cope and forget about my problems. I was hospitilazed once because of my eczema for a couple of days which is nothing compared to what will come. But I started to have hope again when my doctor told me and my mom about dupixent (dupilumab) which is an injection that in theory can help my atopic dermatitis a lot.
And believe it or not after a couple of injections it did. My skin started clearing and I felt so happy and optimistic about my future I already made a plan of how I will go back to training everyday and that I will finally have a normal chance at life.
But after a couple of injections the first side effect started to show which was a completly purple face, this hurt a lot and it was very humiliating because everywhere I went people stared at me with a lot of judgment. The same people that would publically say that racism is bad are the people that constantly discrimiate us for our problem and making our already hard life filled with suffering even worse and more miserable.
After a couple of weeks I started realizing that my immune system is turning very weak and that I get sick much easier than ever in my life, of course at the time I didnt assoicate that to dupixent or other medical treatments I was geting, but now I know the reasons why.
A MONTH IN HOSPITAL
All of a sudden on a random day my skin started hurting far far more than it usually does. It is usually bad, but it became so unbereable that I didnt sleep for 4 todays at all. I didnt know at first, but it wasnt just eczema it was a very bad infections all over my face and it quickly spreaded all over my fingers and palms.
I ended up in the hospital alone for a month, of course there were doctors and nurses there, but I was the only person staying which made me very sad because I realized that others my age are enyoying the summer while I had to be there for weeks.
They of course they gave me a ton of corticosteroids and antibiotics. To make things worse I couldnt properly clean my hands because I had literal holes in them also they kept feeding me procesed and unhealthy foods like white bread.
Foods like white bread, trigger inflamation, create gut problems and weaken your immune system. But of course they dont care about all of that they will just give you corticosteroids which weaken your bones, makes you very hungry, trouble sleeping, sadness, anxiety, Slow adrenal gland hormone output.
Even when I somewhat recovered and they let me go home I still had to return everyday for 10 more days to get more antibiotics through the vain.
After all of that was over, I was pretty happy and hopefull because I thouth the horrors were over and that I will retain the positive effects of dupixent, but without the horrible side effects of seriouse infections.
DEPRESION AND INFECTIONS
Unfortunetly the literal oposite happened, my eczema came back even worse than it was, but my infections came back aswell like I havent been in the hospital for a month.
Besides this I got EXTREMLLY depressed after I got out of the hospital. Depression is horryfiying but depression with haveing severe eczema and a skin infections that will not go away is just beyond words. I also had pretty often panic attacks besides all of this, none of this suprisses me when I now put into perspective that I was on heavy antibiotics in a hospital for a month, the winter just started, my friends gosted me, I was geting made fun of in school for my eczema etc.
This period lasted for months where I used antibiotics and corticosteroids on the daily bases just to keep the infection somewhat in control so I dont go back to the hospital for another month.
But it gets worse because the antibiotics that I was using started to stop working because the bacteria was evolving and started to survive them. Which means that they were geting useless and cant even protect me anymore.
When I realized this I had the worst panic attack of my life because I came to a realization that I may die because the the infection will get into my blood soon.
This in a way made me happy because at least I will not have to live like this for long. The hardest part of all of this for me wasnt the phisical pain it was feeling like a leech to sociaty and my family, because I knew that I will never be able to have a normal productive life.
Also it was kiling me seeing others live a normal life and enjoying going to the gym, doing sports etc. While my life was a fight just to stay alive another day, and I was thinking to my self even if I do survive what is the point if my life is going to be like this.
All of this lasted a couple of months, the only thing that gave me relief was when I used huge amounts of corticosteroids and antibiotics which destroy your body in a dozen diferent ways.
CORTICO STEROIDS WITHDRAWAL
One day my mother came to me and said that she was talking to a friend who used corticosteroids for another problem that was unrelated to the skin and that she showed her the terible side effects of them and that I need to stop using them.
I talled her that is not going to happen because they were the only thing that made my life some what survivable, but after seeing the side effects I forced myself to stop.
After a week of doing so my body was complelty red. When I say complelty red I mean every single spot on my body was filled with eczema except my palms.
I also had extreme mood swing, one second I wouldnt feel any type of emotion I would just feel empthy and the other I would start uncontrolable crying.
Around that time I got another side effect of dupixent which was a conjuctivitis eye infection. One night I fell a sleep and I woke up in the midle of the night when I tried to open my eyes and could only open the right one and when I looked into the mirror it was complelty closed with thick mucus around it. My doctros just prescribed me a antibiotic with corticosteroids in it.
After a couple of weeks my skin went into another state where it wasnt as red, but it was extremlly flaky and dry. Me and my mom had to change my bed sheets 2 times a day and she cleaned the floor all the time because of the amount of dead skin that was falling of me.
At this point I didnt go to school for about 2 months at all and my mom talled me that she will notify them that I have to drop out because of my condition.
START OF THE ULTIMATE ECZEMA PROTOCOL
That same night after years of being faithfull to the same system that poisened me for years I finally told myself that I will take things into my own hands and that there must be more to this that my doctors are not telling me.
I researched the whole night and I found out about topics like leaky gut, elimination diets, CIRS, water fasting, ketosis etc.
That night of research made me fell great hope, even though I knew the chances of recovery are still low I discovered a completly new world of things that made me fell hopefull enouph to try.
After all what could have I lost, my life was hell and I was bound to die soon anyways if all of that keeps going.
From that day I cut out my allergy medication, gluten, and processed foods.
After a week things didnt change much, but I knew that I was on a right path. My life at that point was sleep and researching.
I descovered a ketogenic diet where I had to eliminate all carbs from my diet. After I did that I noticed some solid improvement.
First time in months my skin wasnt completly red and my infections started to withdrew. Even though things werent close to over I felt increadible hapiness and hope and knew that I was on a right track.
I then went one step further and stoped eating vegetables as well, I found out that vegetables and other plants have a lot of defense chemicals that can be inflamatory if you have leaky gut.
With this move I turned completly carnivore which in just 2 weeks cleaned around 70% of my body. My depresion and allergies also started to go away.
I was increadibly happy to not live in horryfying suffering 24 hourse a day every single day of my life. But my research only started I didnt want to just partially heal I wanted to be completly eczema free.
I researched non stop about these topics and I started to experiment with myself aswell.
I researched the importance of vitamin D3 and started taking high doses of it and I started to spend a lot of time on the sun. This is against main stream medical recomendations, but those recomendations almost killed me so I wasnt scared to take a risk.
I started doing a lot of intermited and prolonged fasting as well. With every single thing I did my eczema started to go away, but not only that milion other things started to go away like the stomach pain that I had my whole life, anxiety and joint pain.
After just a couple months of this my health was so good that I finally started to train again and live a happy life that I deserve.
I believe that you deserve that too and that is the reason I created the Ultimate Eczema Protocol so everyone can learn how to heal while having a comunity full of people that will help them and motivate them in their journey.
