5 Best Tallow Soaps for Eczema

I have been battling eczema since I was born, and before I started using tallow soap, I used to spend hundreds of dollars on some overpriced soap specifically for eczema. The problem with these soaps is that they are not much different from mainstream soap that folks without eczema use. Tallow soap is different for so many reasons. Unlike regular soap for eczema, tallow does not add chemicals that can cause even more inflammation, both on your skin and inside the body.

Even if you see improvements in your skin because of these soaps, the truth is that they can cause other problems, like hormone disturbance.

Tallow has been used for hundreds of generations by humans all over the world, and your genes know how to react to it both when you eat it and when you put it on your skin, which is not the case with these soaps that are loaded with unnatural chemicals that you can’t spell even if you try to.

That has been the best choice of my life, abandoning the creams that big pharma was profiting off and starting to use the products that no humans manipulated to create greater profit margins, such as tallow soap.

Why Tallow Soap Works Wonders for Eczema-Prone Skin

Why is Tallow Soap so Important

Tallow naturally contains a lot of saturated fats that mirror fatty acids found on healthy human skin. Of course, our skin lacks that which is exactly why we must use tallow to replace it.

There are also a lot of anti-inflammatory properties found in tallow that can reduce the effects of inflammation, like redness and itching.

Vitamins A, D, E, and K are also found in tallow, and they are extremely important for your skin because these vitamins are fat-soluble, and they penetrate deeper in your skin than water-based moisturizers.

By penetrating deeper into your skin, they can support skin cell regeneration far more than other soaps and moisturizers.

This is also the reason why I recommend everyone to also take these vitamins as a form of a supplement. If you want to learn about how I reversed chronic eczema and allergies through diet and supplementation.

The 5 Best Tallow Soaps for Eczema in 2025

1. Natural Skincare – Beef Tallow Soap Bar Natural Skincare

All-Natural Beef Tallow Soap Bar

Tallow was made with 100% grass fed beef, which makes it more nutrient-dense

Has a lot of vitamins A, D, E, and K, which are a must for skin

Beef is both grass-fed and grass-finished, unlike most brands, which are grain finished.

The tallow was made from 100% grass fed beef, which means that the beef was both grass-fed and grass finished.

This is diferent than most beef comapnies which say that their beef is grass-fed, but they are using a loophole that allows them to grain finish their cattle and still say grass-fed.

Beef being grass-fed is, in my opinion, a must because people with eczema need nutrient-dense tallow to get the vitamins that our skin desperately needs and craves.

Made with grass-fed and finished beef tallow, coconut oil, and olive oil. This blend will decrease inflammation and give your skin allthe resources it needs for it to be healthy.

One pack comes with three soap bars. Each bar is 4.5 oz or 127 grams, which will last you around 5-7 weeks.

Grass-fed and grass-finished tallow will provide countless vitamins that are absolutely crucial for your skin. Organic coconut oil will provide moisture to your skin and stop dryness and all the open wounds that come after your skin becomes extremely dry.

This is self-evident with all the positive reviews from people with really sensitive and dry skin.

Organic shea butter is a great final touch, which helps coconut oil and beef tallow do their work, and it helps with skin barrier repair.

Unscented soap that is amazing for overall cleaning of harmful bacteria that are very good at ataching themselfs to skin with eczema.

People with eczema like you and me have much greater chances to get negative bacteria deep into our skin because of open wounds we create by scretching are selfs and because of nutrient deficiencies our skin has as well as just overall inflammation we have in our bodies that later on goes to surfice. How to Use Tallow Soap for Maximum Eczema Relief

My main advice would be not to wash more than once per day, or even every other day if you have severe eczema, which again I recommend you read my article about how I completely reversed a severe case of eczema.

Washing too often can dry your skin even further, and it will remove beneficial oils that tallow soap and tallow in general provide.

After the bath, you should put a tallow cream on your skin because it provides the same positive effects as tallow soap just after the bath.

You can read my list of the best tallow for eczema, in which I even said which tallow I use myself, and show the one that helped me the most.

Just in case you should do a test aswell to see if your skin will react properly to tallow, you can do that by putting tallow soap on your inner forearm and then wait till the next shower before you do the full body version.

This should be done to be extra safe, even though tallow is natural and used by humans for hundreds of generations for skin. Some negative effects can still happen if your body is confused and it thinks that tallow is causing it trouble, even though it doesn’t.

In my full guide, I also talked about how I fixed sensitivities and allergies through diet and supplementation.

Tallow Soap vs Commercial Soap: Why Your Drugstore Bar Is Making Eczema Worse

Tallow Soap VS Commercial Soap For Eczema

Most commercial soaps contain at least 10 synthetic ingredients; you probably wouldn’t be able to spell or say their name correctly.

These synthetic ingredients are mostly sulfates, synthetic fragrances, and preservatives that create more inflammation. Even if you see positive benefits on your skin, they can easily cause inflammation in other places in your body.

Conventional soaps increase skin pH to 10-11 and keep it elevated for hours, destroying the protective acid that makes your skin moist instead of dry and itchy.

These soaps also kill beneficial skin bacteria, which fight against infections, after using them long enouph the risk of infections like staph increases.

Tallow has been used by humans for hundreds of generations, and your genes know how to deal with it both when you eat it and when you put it on your skin. This is not the case with Commercial soap that has chemicals your genes never touched ever.

The fatty acid profile of commercial soaps doesn’t match human skin composition, while tallow’s 50-55% saturated fat ratio is similar to healthy human skin.

My Real Experience

I use tallow soap every time I shower, even though I don’t have a lot of atopic dermatitis left, I still find great benefits, and I still avoid commercial soap and products like I plague because they are damaging to your skin and overall body.

Every tallow soap that I reviewed today is very high quality, and you will like it a lot.

After the showower when I dry up a little bit, I put some regular tallow on my skin, and it makes me feel amazing. Besides that, the itching sensation always calms down after using tallow.

I am somebody who struggled with extreme atopic dermatitis and allergies all my life, and doctors just gave me steroids, which made things better for a couple of days, and then eczema returned even worse. These steroids and antibiotics that I was fed uncontrollably also probably weakened my bones, muscles, and growth.

Please don’t do the same and instead treat and heal your eczema the only way that it can actually be healed, through diet and natural products like tallow soap.

Conclusion

Making a switch to tallow soap from conventional soap for eczema can be a major change. Even though soap for eczema is made to be gentle for the skin, so it doesn’t trigger a reaction, it still contains a lot of unnatural chemicals you couldn’t even say the name of correctly.

Unlike these, soap tallow has been used by humans all around the world for countless generations, and your genetics know how to break it down properly. Tallow also contains a lot of vitamin A, D, E & K that your sick skin desperately needs and craves.

Tallow is also very anti-inflammatory and it will atack inflamation in your body, which is basically the root cause of your eczema.

I gave the list of my favorite tallow soap, and I even said which one I personally use on a regular basis.
