For almost two decades of my life, I thought that eczema was something that I would have to live with and that healing eczema was impossible. For the most part, this wasn’t a huge life-changing problem for the most of that time period, but I started noticing that week by week my eczema was geting worse and worse and before I knew it I had to stop going to school, I had to stop training boxing, and soon after I got an infection so bad that I enden up in hospital for over a month.
After that, the infection very quickly returned, and I was scared for my life because the corticosteroids and antibiotics that my doctors had been religiously giving me since I was a child had stopped working. I was scared that the next infection was going to get into my blood and that I would die. Also, my immune system got so weak because of all the antibiotics, immunosuppressors, and corticosteroids that I couldn’t walk more than a couple of minutes at a time without getting exhausted.
It has been almost a year and a half since I started doing my own research, and now I am completely eczema-free, healthier than I could have ever imagined, naturally lost a lot of fat and gained a lot of muscle without even lifting. Also, since I started what I now call the ultimate eczema protocol, I never had an infection again.
Today I will show you the evidence, and I will tell you how you can do just that.
Can You Really Heal Eczema? What the Research Says

This depends on who you ask. If you ask your doctor, he will most likely tell you that they don’t have an answer for eczema and can only cover it with creams and steroids that have horrifying consequences for you in the long term.
They will tell you that you can’t heal eczema because they haven’t found the official cure, and they don’t recognize the healing that saved my life, which is the ultimate elimination diet, getting rid of foods like seed oils, processed foods, and things like alcohol.
And focusing your time on internal things like gut health.
Even though officially there is no cure for eczema, people like me who have done at least some of the things that I mentioned earlier have either completely healed their eczema, like atopic dermatitis, or at least improved it heavily.
Even though these studies legally can’t say that elimination diets and fixing leaky gut will heal eczema, they do agree with me that it can at least improve it.
Also, just because there are no studies that seed oils directly worsen eczema, we can connect the dots by reading the studies that say that seed oils cause leaky gut, which is heavily connected to eczema.
The Gut-Skin Connection: Why Healing Starts in Your Gut

After my personal experience of both healing my own eczema and working with other people, I believe that both eczema and eczema healing start in your gut.
As I mentioned earlier, there is strong evidence that leaky gut is the main cause of eczema, and if you don’t already know, leaky gut is damage that happens in your gut through years of junk food, seed oils, gluten, alcohol, and antibiotic abuse. After leaky gut happens, foods you eat can get into your bloodstream through the leak in the gut, which creates a lot of inflammation.
Unfortunately for me, I abused all of the main causes of leaky gut, and the chances are that if you are reading this, you have too.
To heal leaky gut, you have to give your body resources and time to heal; of course, without these things that will worsen the leaky gut that you already have.
Also, with leaky gut, healthy foods like vegetables also become inflammatory for you, not because they are bad foods but because your gut can’t take defensive chemicals in most plants that a healthy gut should.
If you want to learn more about healing your gut, I highly recommend Dr. William Davis’s legendary book Super Gut that I read and that taught me a lot.
The Ultimate Elimination Diet
The ultimate and fastest way to heal your gut is to try the lion diet for at least a couple of weeks.
The lion diet is the ultimate elimination diet where you eat only ruminant meat, salt, and water. This diet is the closest possible thing to fasting that exists in a diet.
Why can I only eat ruminant meat?
Believe it or not, there is everything you need in red meat, so not only will you not be vitamin deficient, but you will probably have higher levels of vitamins after you throw out the foods that block the absorption of these vitamins, like gluten and basically all processed foods.
Also, ruminant animals have multiple stomachs, hooves, and they generally eat grass. Because of this, they are able to acquire nutrients from plants partly by fermenting the plants in a specialized stomach called the rumen, which will make it easier for you to digest them.
Humans have been eating ruminant animals since the beginning of humanity, and your genetics have evolved on it.
Gut Microbiome
The leaky gut is not the only problem that arises with years of gluten, junk food, alcohol, and antibiotic use.
You see, your microbiome is home to trillions of microorganisms that live in your gut. The disruption of these microorganisms can cause all kinds of problems.
And similar to leaky gut, the death of these microorganisms happens mostly because of junk food, gluten, alcohol, and antibiotics.
The lack of these good bacteria can cause a lot of issues like depression, anxiety, arthritis, dermatitis, eczema, acne, allergies, and a lot of other problems.
Since I started focusing on this, my life completely changed in every way for the better. Even though eczema was my main problem and is my main focus right now, I was also very depressed, anxious, and had severe allergies.
How Can Diet Heal Your Eczema?

In the last couple of decades, people have gone crazy with all kinds of different diets.
Of course, everyone has a different reason for starting a certain diet, but at the end of the day it all comes down to health.
And the problem is that many of these diets that promote excessive calorie deficit and vegan shakes can be very damaging for people with eczema.
So which diets do I recommend for eczema healing?
I make things simple and always promote these three diets:
- Lion Diet
- Carnivore Diet
- KETO Diet
Through my healing process, I did all three diets at different points of my healing.
Lion Diet
The lion diet is the ultimate elimination diet, where you only consume red meat, salt, and water.
This is the closest thing to fasting, but unlike fasting, you can do it for the long term. This diet is almost magical and can heal your leaky gut pretty fast. This diet became popular because of people who want to build muscle and lose fat, but it is really magical for people with autoimmune issues like depression, eczema, allergies, and arthritis, or any problem with inflammation whatsoever.
If you want to learn more about this diet, I highly recommend you to read about it here.
Carnivore
The carnivore diet is in many ways similar to the lion diet because of its meaty-heavy nature.
The carnivore diet is where you only eat animal foods, such as animals and foods made by animals like milk. The carnivore diet is, for the most part, ketogenic, but not necessarily because certain animal foods like milk have carbs. I wouldn’t recommend milk at first because many people with eczema are lactose intolerant.
I was lactose intolerant as well, but after a couple of months of a lion and carnivore diet (without milk), I stopped being lactose intolerant and can drink milk without any of those side effects. I don’t know why this happens because there are no studies on this, but I believe it is because my gut healed.
This is a lighter version of the lion diet, and I would recommend it for people who have eczema but don’t have an extremely severe eczema as I had.
KETO
KETO is shortened for the ketogenic diet. It refers to a very low-carbohydrate, high-fat eating plan that makes your body burn fat for fuel instead of glucose (sugar).
Unlike the low-carb diet, there are some carbs in keto, but it keeps them to a minimum, typically to around 20-40 grams of carbs.
The point of this diet is to go into ketosis, which is a fat-burning state where your body stops using carbs for energy and starts using its own fat. This is the main reason why the keto diet is so popular, because it turns people into a fat-burning machine, but this diet is also amazing at healing leaky gut, supporting metabolic health, supporting hormonal balance, healing the liver, and other things that help with eczema.
Fasting for Eczema

Fasting is voluntary restraint from food for a set period of time.
There are two kinds of fasting when we talk about time.
Intermittent fasting is an eating pattern where you don’t eat for a period of time every day; for example, 16/8 means 16 hours of fasting and 8 hours of eating.
Prolonged fasting is where you don’t eat food for 24 hours or more; this method of fasting lets your body go into a deep state of autophagy, which has incredible benefits like cell repair and gut healing.
Both types of fasting are beneficial for eczema, and I do them pretty often; the longest one I ever did is one week, but I am planning to do 10 days soon, which I will document and write about.
Seed Oils

Of course there is a list of foods that you should never eat if you have eczema, but seed oils are so terrible for you that they deserve a whole section.
At first they weren’t even meant to be used as food but as farming waste products. And through a lot of promotion and questionable studies, they have been normalized for use in food.
They also contain high concentrations of omega-6 fatty acids, which promote chronic inflammation and are linked to obesity, diabetes, and heart disease.
Seed Oils are usually in:
- cookies
- chips
- canned foods
- cereal
- baked goods
- fried foods
These oils are often also in restaurant foods and foods that are marketed as healthy.
I would even go so far as to say that you can’t heal eczema without throwing seed oils completely out of your diet.
Supplements

Supplements are also very important, especially when you start a new diet, and for vitamins like vitamin D, which is almost impossible to get enough of through food.
Vitamin D3
Vitamin D3 is the best form of vitamin D, and it is the most important vitamin for people with eczema.
It is the most researched vitamin of all time, and it is proven that it helps with inflammation and skin health.
You should take 10000IUs a day for optimal healing.
Zinc
Zinc is an essential trace element commonly found in red meat, poultry, and fish. It is necessary in small amounts for human health, growth, and healthy skin.
Zinc is well known for being an essential trace mineral for building muscle and muscle strength, but it has an incredible impact on skin and eczema as well.
The main benefits of zinc for eczema are:
- supports the immune system
- helps with infections
- faster wound healing
- lowers inflammation
Vitamin K2
I think that vitamin K2 is the most underappreciated vitamin for eczema and healthy skin.
Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays an important role in supporting normal blood clotting, calcium metabolism, and bone and skin health.
It is in many ways helpful for your skin on its own, but vitamin K2 also helps vitamin D3 work properly, which is very important because vitamin D3 is, in my opinion, the most important vitamin for eczema.
These are just some important supplements. If you want to know them all, you should read this article.
Final Thoughts: Is It Possible to Heal Eczema?
As a person who had severe eczema that made me stop having a normal life, made me depressed and anxious, and know doesnt, my answer is YES, but keep in mind that I still theoretically, my advice, which is focusing on diet, gut health, supplements, and air health, isn’t considered real healing by the doctors that poisoned me for years.
Modern medicine can’t say there is a cure because they don’t even know for certain what the cause of eczema is, so they suggest it is most likely genetics.
In this article, I talked about how I healed my eczema and how I helped many others with their eczema through healing your gut, starting the ultimate elimination diet, investing in high-quality supplements, getting rid of seed oils and processed foods, and fasting.
