Should You Take Omega-3 Supplements For Eczema?

Question: Should You Take Omega-3 Supplements For Eczema?

Answer: Yes, omega-3 supplements are amazing for eczema because they are naturally anti-inflammatory, support skin barrier function, and restore the balance between omega-3s and omega-6s. The healthy ratio of omega-6s and omega-3s should be between 1:1 and 4:1, but because of the consumption of seed oils and processed foods, the average person’s ratio is closer to 20:1.

People with eczema probably have even more omega-6s, which creates chronic inflammation that expresses itself on your skin in the form of eczema.

To fix this, you need to eat an elimination diet that removes all the foods with excess omega-6s and take an omega-3 supplement.

The omega-3 supplement that I use and recommend is Dr. Berg’s Wild-Caught Omega-3 Cod Liver Fish Oil DHA EPA.

Dont get me wrong omega-3 supplements can be usefull, but they are not going to make a significant diference in your eczema. There is not one thing or one supplement that can significantly improve or completly heal your condition.
