Question: How Does the Carnivore Diet Affect Eczema?

Answer: The carnivore diet is a diet consisting only of animals and foods that come from animals. So, meat, seafood, dairy, and eggs. There are multiple versions of the carnivore diet; for example, ketovore, where you don’t consume dairy because you want to have the positive effects of the no-sugar diet. Also, some people include coffee, tea, and certain spices because they have minimal effects on the diet.

The carnivore diet is extremely beneficial for eczema and is an important step in becoming eczema-free. There is strong evidence that your gut starts to heal when you only eat animal foods. If your gut never heals, you have no chance of ever healing eczema, because your skin health is determined by the health of your gut.

When people consume too much junk food, seed oils, alcohol, antibiotics, etc., their gut becomes leaky, which leads to inflammation that will express itself on their skin.

Some people who are even sensitive to eggs and dairy would greatly benefit from doing the lion diet for a couple of months first because there are no foods they are allergic or sensitive to on the lion diet. Then, after your gut starts healing on the lion diet, where you only consume meat from ruminant animals, salt, and water, you can introduce other animal foods like fish, eggs, and organs.

As somebody who used to suffer from a severe case of eczema, the lion and the carnivore diet helped me a lot, and it was the first step I took to completely heal, but it is not the only step.
