Question: Can Leaky Gut Cause Eczema?

Answer: Yes, there is strong evidence that leaky gut is the main reason you have eczema in the first place.

Leaky gut is a term for gut damage that many people with eczema unknowingly have. Processed foods, grains, alcohol, antibiotics, and medication can contribute to the formation of a leaky gut.  It occurs when the connections holding the cells together in your intestines (called tight junctions) start to produce more Zonulin and allow gaps between the cells.

When tight junctions stop holding the cells in your gut together closely, foods you ingest can make their way into your bloodstream. When this happens, your body responds with inflammation to fight these foreign food invaders.

This inflammation then shows up on your skin in the form of eczema. This means that if your gut is sick and inflamed, then your skin will be sick and inflamed as well.

I used to have severe eczema just like you probably do; for years I was buying overly expensive creams that didn’t do anything, but wasted time and money. Then I started doing my own research and found out that leaky gut and all gut damage are the root cause of eczema and similar skin problems.

The process of healing leaky gut can be complicated, so if you want a step-by-step protocol that tells you how I healed my gut fast, join The Ultimate Eczema Protocol.
