Answer: Yes, dust and dust mites are very common triggers for eczema. They break down and weaken the skin barrier and provoke an immune system overreaction. This reaction creates inflammation and other responses like histamine release.

Dust mites also cause intense irritation and itching, which will, of course, is terible for eczema because of scratching.

To fight against this, make sure that the environment you are in is clean and dust-free. Air purifiers and cleaners help with this issue a lot as well.

How To Heal From Dust Allergies?

Living in a clean environment that is dust-free and investing in a high-quality air purifier is very helpful, but at the end of the day, it doesn’t change much if your body is still sick.

When I had a severe case of eczema, I used to overfocus on my environment and things outside of my body. I was obsessing over how clean my room was, and I was making sure that every single spot was dust- and allergen-free. But every time I got outside of that environment, my condition got worse.
