Answer: Yes, pollen is a major environmental trigger that worsens eczema. A pollen allergy is one of the most common allergies out there, which means that when somebody who is sensitive comes into contact with pollen, because of the negative immune reaction, their eczema gets worse as well.

This happens for several reasons, like a weak skin barrier, immune overreaction, and leaky gut.

A healthy skin barrier can easily keep particles of pollen out, but people with eczema often have a very weak skin barrier, which will let pollen get deeper into their body.
